The Commons: A Live Storytelling Event

The Commons is a recurring storytelling event that showcases you, the storyteller. Let’s hear it! Seating begins at 6:45, come early to guarantee a spot. Grab a beer (or any tasty beverage) and grab a seat. Put your name in the hat when you’re ready to tell a story. If your name gets drawn, you get 5–7 minutes to tell your story. (We’ll give you a 2-minute warning.) A notecard is okay—reading your story word-for-word isn’t. Keep it clean, read the room, and be respectful. Extra applause if your story follows the theme. Make it true—or at least truth-inspired. Just don’t tell someone else’s story.
