Ross Sutter

Stina Fagertun from Tromsø, Norway is a performer and teacher. She has collected ancient, unique fairy tails from three cultures that are part of her heritage (Sami, Kven and Arctic Norwegian).  She has performed at Norsk Høstfest in Minot, N.D for many years, as well as in Europe and Scandinavia and has translated many old songs into English.  Stina is touring with Ross Sutter, a Swedish American musician living in Minnesota who plays an impressive array of instruments and is best known for his baritone voice and heartfelt songs, reminding us of his Scandinavian roots.

Also an honored guest, Mary Sam, Director of Equity and Inclusion at Central Lakes College, and member of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe will speak from her heart about multicultural issues in northern Minnesota.  Whether you are from the Arctic Circle, Scandinavia or northern Minnesota, Stina, Ross and Mary will find the thread that connects us.
