Learn to Weave – Rigid Heddle Loom Workshop
February 19, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 9:30 am, repeating until February 19, 2023
This is a great option for students who want to find out if weaving is for you, as well as experienced RH loom weavers interested in refreshing your skills.
This versatile loom can be used to create scarves, table runners, placemats, shawls, pillow covers and more! The Rigid Heddle loom is compact and portable, allowing you to take your project anywhere.
You will learn how to independently dress a RH loom using the quick and efficient Direct Warping method. You will be weaving a scarf as your class project. You’ll leave this class with an understanding of basic weaving techniques, vocabulary and finishing methods, as well as a step-by-step handout so you can easily repeat the steps of weaving.
Equipment Note: Looms will be provided; students will learn to weave on our Ashford Rigid Heddle or Schacht Flip Rigid Heddle looms. Alternatively, you can bring your own Rigid Heddle loom to class – if you choose this option, please contact the instructor prior to class to confirm your equipment.
Materials Note: Yarns and a step-by-step handout are included in your class fee. Several yarn colors will be available to choose from.
Contact: Cat Mayr, Two Tabby Studio, info@twotabby.com
Cost: $170 (includes $30 materials fee).
Pre-enrollment is required.
