Exhibit Reception: “Walking the Shores” by Sam Zimmerman

Join us in welcoming artist Sam Zimmerman for an artist talk and reception at The Crossing Arts Alliance on Friday, May 16th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Nibble on snacks, enjoy good company, and learn more about the artist! This event is free and open to the public.
This exhibition, “Walking the Shores”, is a collection of acrylic and watercolor paintings by Sam Zimmerman capturing the animal, bird, and fish relatives that he has experienced along the North Shore of Lake Superior. His work features each as a means to honor them, the time he spent with them, and the teachings each provided to him.
Each of the pieces have also inspired his writing as he works on his second bilingual (Ojibwemowin / English) art book with a publishing date of October 2026 by the MNHS press.
