Connect Suicide Postvention
A suicide can have a devastating impact on a community or organization. The shock and grief can ripple throughout the community affecting friends, coworkers, schools, and faith communities. Connect Suicide Postvention training helps community leaders respond in a coordinated and comprehensive way in the aftermath of a suicide or any sudden death.
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS LEARN? Connect Suicide Postvention is a nationally designated best practice program that takes a public health approach. Participants will learn postvention protocols to help them more effectively respond to a suicide death, prevent additional suicides, and promote healing for survivors.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE? Social service agency staff, emergency medical services, law enforcement, medical examiners, faith community leaders, and funeral directors are all invited to attend.

NAMI Minnesota thanks you for registering to attend one of our classes. We understand that unforeseen situations arise and you may need to cancel your registration. If you are unable to attend, a substitute individual is welcome to attend in your place, but NAMI Minnesota must be notified in writing (e-mail is acceptable) with the name and contact information for the person who will be attending. NAMI Minnesota reserves the right to cancel any event, conference or class due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If there is a cancellation, participants will be notified by telephone and/or email as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.
