Brainerd History Week – Old Crow Wing & Pioneer Day

10am-6pm – Paul Bunyan Land & This Old Farm Pioneer Village. Pioneer Days featuring 1914 steam engine operation, log sawing, shingle making, black powder demo, museum in motion, parade. Admission fee includes amusement park. Contact

10:30-11:30am – Evergreen Cemetery History Walk. Meet at the First Avenue Gate. We will be visiting the final resting places of WW I veterans and victims of the 1918 Spanish Influenza epidemic. Contact John Van Essen with questions. 218-828-9013.

2pm – Crow Wing State Park – Historical Presentation at Beaulieu house. Includes information about the history of Old Crow Wing and the 150th Anniversary of the Assassination of Chief Hole-in-the-Day. To get to the Beaulieu House: Drive straight ahead from park entrance station to picnic shelter area parking lot. There is a
path and boardwalk on north end that leads to the Beaulieu House. The picnic shelter has been reserved as well in case of bad weather. A daily park pass is 7 dollars if you do not already have a year pass purchased. Contact Ray Nelson with questions. firstname.lastname@example.org
