An event every day that begins at 9:30 am, repeating until September 24, 2023
CATHIE MAYR – INSTRUCTOR
Learn the basics of weaving on a Rigid Heddle (RH) loom. This is a great option for students who want to find out if weaving is for you, as well as experienced RH loom weavers interested in refreshing your skills. This versatile loom can be used to create scarves, table runners, placemats, shawls, pillow covers, & more!
The Rigid Heddle loom is compact and portable, allowing you to take your project anywhere. You will learn how to independently dress a RH loom using the quick and efficient Direct Warping method. You will be weaving a table square as your class project. You’ll leave this class with an understanding of basic weaving techniques, vocabulary and finishing methods, as well as a step-by-step handout so you can easily repeat the steps of weaving.
