2nd Annual Paddle to the Moon and Back

Come join us for our 2nd Annual Paddle to the Moon (and Back). REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 100 PEOPLE. Cost for registration is $35 this includes the guided paddle, t-shirt and meal at Moonlite Bay. Paddle to the Moon was started by Jim who owns Crow Wing Kayaks/Wind, Water and Wheels in Crosslake due to his love of kayaking. He wanted to create an event in which he could raise funds to give back to local charities. This event will be held on July 26th, 2019 in Crosslake, MN. All skill levels are welcome to participate in this event. Kayaks, paddle boards and canoes are all welcome. No motorized equipment will be allowed. Price is per person. Lifejackets are REQUIRED. Also you will be required to have a light on the equipment you are using. Crow Wing Kayaks has 20 Kayaks available to rent for the first participants that need them and will be an additional $5.00. These kayaks will need to be reserved when registering. All registrations will be done online or on the day of the event starting at 5pm. On the day of the event we will all gather at the US Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds in Crosslake. From there we will have a guided 2 mile paddle down the Whitefish Channel to Moonlite Bay. Once here you will be provided with a meal and brief presentation of the organization Saving Hearts for Suicide Prevention. Then you will paddle back to the US Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds to end the night. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Saving Hearts for Suicide Prevention.

The schedule for the day of the event is as follows:
5pm- Pre-Check in and day of Registration begins
6-6:15pm- 15 minute safety meeting
6:20pm- lauching of kayaks, paddle boards and canoes
6:30pm- Paddle to Moonlite Bay begins
7:30-9pm- Dinner at Moonlite Bay
9-10:30pm- Paddle back to the US Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters
