17th Annual Susan G Komen Brainerd Lakes Race for the Cure

Since July of 2000, the annual Susan G. Komen Brainerd Lakes Race for the Cure® has been one of our biggest fundraisers. It is held in conjunction with the Community Action 4th of July celebrations, on the last Saturday in June. Participants may choose to run in the 5K, walk a 5K or walk a 1 mile course with commemorative T-shirts to all, along with eligibility for door prizes. 5K Runners also receive age group awards. If they can’t participate physically or cannot attend, people may enter as a Spirit Runner and still support the event and receive a T-shirt.
Saturday, June 25 7:00 am – 8:00 am – Same Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up
7:00 am – Sponsor Tents & Shop for the Cure Open
8:00 am – Survivor Photo followed by Survivor Recognition Ceremony
8:35 am – Dove Release (see details below)
8:45 am – 5K (3.1 miles) Race (USA T&F MN-06039-RR) 8:47 am – 5K & 1 Mile Walks
9:45 am – Awards Ceremony & Door Prizes
Fees increase as the race deadline approaches.
Through April 25: 5K Run: Adults $25, 12 and under $15 5K or 1 Mile Walk: Adults $20, 12 and under $12 Spirit Runner: Adults $20, 12 and under $12 Kids for the Cure (age 2-10; fee includes walk participation): $12
April 26-June 22 5K Run: Adults $30, 12 and under $20 5K or 1 Mile Walk: Adults $25, 12 and under $15 Spirit Runner: Adults $25, 12 and under $15 Kids for the Cure (age 2-10; fee includes walk participation): $15
June 24 5K Run: Adults $35, 12 and under $25 5K or 1 Mile Walk: Adults $30, 12 and under $15 Spirit Runner: Adults $30, 12 and under $15 Kids for the Cure (age 2-10; fee includes walk participation): $15
June 25 5K Run: Adults $45, 12 and under $35 5K or 1 Mile Walk: Adults $35, 12 and under $20 Spirit Runner: Adults $35, 12 and under $20 Kids for the Cure (age 2-10; fee includes walk participation): $20
