Celebrate Bean Hole Days in Pequot Lakes July 14-15, 2026! This one-of-a-kind event is Rootin’ Tootin’ good fun for the whole family! The huge cast iron kettles of beans are buried on Tuesday, July 14 to cook overnight and will be served on Wednesday, July 15 at noon to more than 3,000 hungry visitors. Lines form early, so make sure to purchase a 2026 Bean Hole Days mug and head to the front of the “Fast Pass for Gas” line!
Trailside Park in the center of town is teaming with people visiting craft vendors, playing games, and enjoying free beans. Make the trip to Pequot Lakes for northern Minnesota’s quirkiest small town celebration!
For nearly 90 years, Bean Hole Days has brought families together to celebrate a tradition that began in 1938, when local businesses thanked area farmers with beans slow-cooked beneath the earth. Today, that same quirky heritage lives on with one of the state’s most unique summer festivals.
