Line up with the fastest cars you can find and race them from a 40mph roll down a preped racing surface. \nWhat is Roll Racing?\nRoll Racing is exactly what is sounds like. Racers roll onto the drag strip to start the race instead of from a complete stop. Roll Racing mimics a “highway pull” but at the track. You and your opponent roll at 40mph with a 5mph leeway. If you hit 46mph at green it’s a bad run (3 strikes you’re out). \nWhy Roll Racing?\nIt’s just another form of racing people enjoy that can now be experienced at the track. Since you are racing from a rolling start\, there is less stress on the car\, so you won’t have to worry about breaking suspension and drivetrain parts like in drag racing. \nWhy Roll Racing At The Track?\nIt allows you to race without having to worry about speeding on unsafe surfaces\, hitting public property or innocent bystanders. DESCRIPTION:BIR’s Bracket Drag Racing Series features some of the best amateur drag racing in the country as 250+ drag racers compete in 10 different classes. Fans can see dragsters\, cars\, trucks\, bikes\, snowmobiles and Junior Dragsters\, all of which are competing for prize money\, hardware and all-important series points that go toward series championships at the end of the season. \nBracket drag racing has been part of BIR’s racing program for over 30 years and has turned out some of the Midwest’s top amateur drag racers\, many of whom have gone on to race professionally. It’s an exciting form of racing that created a unique community\, where racers and their friends\, families and fans enjoy a weekend at the track and a chance to socialize with others with a passion for racing. But it also means some highly competitive drag racing for fans. \nBracket racing is a handicapped form of competition where two vehicles of varying performance potentials can race on a potentially even basis. The anticipated elapsed times for each vehicle are compared\, with the slower car receiving a head start equal to the difference of the two. It’s phenomenal drag racing featuring the seven Heads-Up Classes\, which treat fans to serious horsepower that produces 6- to 7-second runs and speeds over 220 mph. They’ll be battling in the second race of the three-race Muscle Car Series. It’s intense drag racing that brings race fans back year after year. \n​Drivers in the Muscle Car Series are competing for series points\, prize money\, and ultimately\, a series championship. The race also includes 10 Index classes\, the winners of which have a separate run-off to crown the Index Class Champion. Three Strip Eliminator classes\, Truck Eliminator and Manual Transmission class round out the race schedule.
