Experienced drivers will be on hand to answer questions for those who are trying it for the first time. Drag racers use the light tree\, the burnout box and the scoreboard. We even have an announcer calling the action. Gates open at 4 p.m. Racing starts at 5 p.m. and ends at dusk. It brings together drag racing\, the North Star BMW Car Club\, autocross and watercross\, where snowmobiles race on open water! The International Watercross Association is on Lake BIR for drag racing and oval racing while the BMW Car Club is on the road course for a club event. And the drag strip hosts the third weekend of the Bracket Drag Racing Series\, where 250+ dragsters\, cars\, trucks and bikes will be battling during eliminations on Saturday and Sunday. A new addition to the weekend is the Minnesota Autosports Club\, which will feature autocross. There’s something for everyone! Three great racing events for one ticket! Daily admission is $20. DESCRIPTION:Brainerd International Raceway’s Bracket Drag Racing Series is on the drag strip for the fourth of six weekends of racing this season. Drag racing will share the motorplex with the Central Roadracing Association\, which brings its high-flying brand of Superbike racing to the road course. The CRA has practice\, qualifying and racing each day. The Bracket Drag Racing features 250-plus drivers competing in 11 classes in dragsters\, cars\, trucks\, bikes\, snowmobiles and Junior Dragsters. Friday is a Test & Tune day\, followed by eliminations both Saturday and Sunday\, with winners crowned each day. Great family fun\, and the pits are always open. One ticket gets you into both events! Daily admission is $25. Kids 12 and under are FREE! On-site camping is available.
