SUMMARY:Tuesdays with Morrie – An Actors Repertory Theatre Production
DESCRIPTION:Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom\, based on the book by Mitch Albom. Directed by Beth Selinger. \nMorrie was Mitch’s sociology professor\, but he was also his mentor\, his advisor\, his life coach. Now Mitch is a busy sportswriter with a frantic schedule and a troubled marriage\, and Morrie is dying. One visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a final course in the meaning of life. The beloved book comes to life in this life-affirming play\, full of compassion\, humor\, and hope. \nTHE STORY: TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom\, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career\, and Morrie Schwartz\, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation\, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie\, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life. \n*** NOTE: \nDoors open at 6:30pm. The lobby area will be open by 6:00pm so you have a place to gather and wait in before doors open to the theatre. You should be seated in the theatre\, no less than\, 10 minutes prior to curtain. Late arrivals may be asked to wait until intermission for seating as to not disturb the performance. We will have ushers to greet you and to scan your ticket as you leave the lobby and enter into the theatre. \nThere will be a 15 MINUTE INTERMISSION for this event. \nTraveling for this event?
