Trailhead Trail Kids age 9-13

Trailhead Announces their Trailhead Trail Kids Skills Program! This class is for kids ages 9-13 bikes with gears and hand brakes. Class will meet at the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Single Track parking lot. Parents need to stay with kids, this is not a drop off class. We will be teaching:
Four skills for cycling: Safety, Etiquette, Riding Skills, and Bicycle Maintenance.
Participants progress at their own pace.
Everyone participates.
No one sits on the bench.
Leaders are trained to instruct, evaluate, and encourage young riders.
Teaching life skills – goal setting, problem solving, decision making.
Using cycling to develop a healthy, positive attitude and teach learning as lifelong activity.
Promote positive values – respect for others, empathy, appreciation, community, and responsibility for the environment.

Helmets required.
Snacks and a hot dog lunch provided – bring a dish to share
Parents are welcomed to bring their bikes too!
Class fee: $15.00 per student
Class size is limited to 10
