Join us for Second Saturday events at TCAA!
10 – 11:30am and 12 – 1:30pm – Kids will be learning Intro To Animation with instructor Duane Barnhart. There’s one thing better than watching cartoons, and that is making your own! We will make cartoon drawings and have them come to life in this FUN animation class. We will start out with easy 2-part animation and then move on to capturing your drawings in full animation using an iPad with stop motion software. You’ll learn the techniques and use materials similar to those that the professional animators at Disney and Cartoon Network use. Your final project will be posted on YouTube for you to share with your family and friends.

If you need to cancel after you have registered, PLEASE contact us at 218-833-0416 to let us know so we can give your space to another child who may be on the waiting list. $3 per child/$5 per family material fee requested, no child is turned away due to need. Located in our classroom at 711 Laurel St, downtown Brainerd.
10am to 12pm – Meet our featured Member Artist, Gloria Leonard, and view some of her artwork on display, including paintings and detailed pencil drawings. Talk with her and learn more about the process for creating her artwork.
10am – 2pm – In our gallery – our current exhibition, “The 3rd Dimension” will be on display. This exhibition features a wide selection of sculptural pieces, that focus on depth, texture, and the artist’s vision over function, as they come alive through their interesting forms.
