After decades of food-industry lobbying, bad science, and ineffective food guidelines, 70 percent of Americans are overweight or obese, and 115 million are either diabetic or pre-diabetic. One out of two people suffer from an autoimmune disease, and one in four suffer from multiple autoimmune diseases. Is this due to bad genetics? Or was the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates right when he said over 2,000 years ago that all disease begins in the gut?
