Equal Rights Amendment Presentation

Did you know there is not an Amendment to either the Minnesota or the U.S. Constitution that states specifically that women and men have equal protection under the law? 76% of the population thinks that we already have an Equal Rights Amendment and 94% of the country believes we should.
Betty Folliard, Founder of ERA Minnesota and former 3-term state representative, will give an up-to-the-moment presentation Thursday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Room E203. She will speak on the state of the Equal Rights Amendment that is now getting national attention. This issue is on the front burner once more having just passed through the US House of Representatives. The ERA will play a pivotal part in the upcoming national elections. Come find out why. This event is free and open to the public and is presented by the League of Women Voters of the Brainerd Lakes Area and the Brainerd branch of the American Association of University Women.
