6th Annual – Fishing to End Hunger Walleye Tournament
October 6 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
This contest was conceived in 2013 when two great ideas came together to form Fishing To End Hunger! John Poston, CEO of Kids Against Hunger-Brainerd Lakes Area wanted to do a fundraising event to benefit the charity and he thought a fishing contest would work well. Meanwhile, Dan Eigen, Walleyedan, wanted to put together a fishing tournament to benefit a charity. John and Dan had a conversation about this and their visions came together as Fishing To End Hunger! Dan has been a supporter of Kids Against Hunger-Brainerd Lakes Area, so it was a perfect fit. Bar Harbor was happy to provide the venue, the date was set, and they were off and running.
This year we’ve designed an online social sharing platform to make it easy for you to raise funds. Simply register your boat to secure your boat number, then we’ll setup a landing page on our website for you with a link to share via social media and email. Every time someone contributes to your team, it will update online and you can see your standings in the contest anytime.
