2019 Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty at Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake

The Zone 8 Consortium (BMDCNI, BMDCSEW, and BMDCGTC) is pleased to provide the BMDCA membership with a unique housing opportunity during the 2019 Bernese Mountain Dog National Specialty. The Consortium has selected Cragun’s Resort and Hotel on Gull Lake in Brainerd, MN for the site of the 44th BMDCA National Specialty.

The BMDCA will have exclusive access to the resort — every hotel room and every cabin is available to Specialty attendees only. Lodging varies in size from 1 bedroom to 7 bedrooms. We know how much the membership enjoys spending time together!

Important Information

All registered guests with dogs will be required to sign a Pet Agreement upon check-in. The Pet Agreement will reflect the restrictions listed below. Guests violating these restrictions will reported to the BMDCA Show Committee for appropriate action.
A maximum of 4 dogs in a standard hotel room, 2 dogs in poolside rooms and 2 dogs per bedroom in cabins is allowed.
Housekeeping will be required to have access to service all rooms and cabins every day.
Unattended dogs must be crated when left in the hotel room/cabins.
Please consider the number of dogs allowed per room as you make your lodging plans:
Maximum number of dogs in Standard and Shoreline hotel rooms — 4
Maximum number of dogs in Poolside hotel rooms — 2
Number of dogs in cabins — 2 per bedroom
If you are sharing a room or cabin with someone, you must indicate the names of those individuals. This information will be used to allow those individuals to assume the reservation should the reservation holder cancel. When cancelling, the reservation holder must advise which listed roommate will assume the reservation and it will be the responsibility of the roommate to immediately contact Cragun’s to provide credit card information to transfer the reservation to them. Failure to provide credit card information, will return the room/cabin to the next person on waitlist and they will be contacted and the original reservation holder will be subject to the Cancellation/Refund rules at the time of cancellation.
Rates

All rates below are per night and plus 7.375% tax
Hotel Rooms

Lakeview Rooms (4 dogs) and Poolside Rooms (2 dogs) — $125.00
Shoreline Suites — $155.00
Cabins

One bedroom cabin — $175.00
Two bedroom cabin — $250.00
Three bedroom cabin — $375.00
Four bedroom cabin — $500.00
Five bedroom cabin — $625.00
Six bedroom cabin — $750.00 (minimum 3 night stay required)
Seven bedroom cabin — $875.00 (minimum 3 night stay required)
Deposits

Deposits will be taken within 30 days of making the reservation. Once the credit card is charged, you will receive another confirmation of your room selection and the amount of the deposit taken. Rejected credit cards will result in cancellation of your reservation and require re-entry of your reservation request.
1 or 2 nights — Full payment required plus taxes
3 nights or more — 3 nights required plus taxes
Cancellation/Refunds

Cancellations prior to 1/6/19 — Full Refund of Deposit
Cancellations between 1/6/19 and 4/6/19 — 50% Refund of Deposit
Cancellations after 4/6/19 — NO Refund of Deposit
No shows of any or all nights will still be responsible for all nights selected
You are responsible for all nights selected in your reservation
No refunds for early departure
At check in the balance of the stay will be due and guests will need to have a valid credit/debit card on file to cover an additional room charges.
Following successful completion of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation of the accommodations requested. Your deposit will charged within 30 days of making the reservation, you will receive another email confirming the room and amount of deposit charged.
Room/Cabin Availability

Some cabins have limited availability. If you see a message that the room/cabin type you are looking at is not available, you can proceed to select a different accommodation or email jward@craguns.com and request to be put on the waitlist for your desired room/cabin type. Phone requests will NOT be accepted.
