22nd Annual Ice Fest in Breezy Point on January 6-7, 2017. This two-day community event features tons of free and low-cost activities for the whole family.

The Mark Peterson country band Saturday from 2 to 5 in a heated tent by the Dockside lounge. The Mark Peterson Band featuring Mark Peterson – Mark is a singer-songwriter out of Nashville. He has written songs for Sammy Kershaw, Tim McGraw, George Jones, George Strait, and Waylon and Willie. A few of the songs he wrote are “Cadillac Style” and “Living on Refried Dreams” and many more. The band has been together since their youth. They got their big start when they were with Steve Hall and Shotgun Red, the little puppet that co-starred on the Nashville Now Network with Ralph Emery in Nashville, Tennessee. The band is semi-retired but still plays now in the Brainerd Lakes area. The band members include Ernie Renn on steel guitar, Wayne Vervallin on drums and Arlen Britz on bass. The band played for many years on the Dinner Boat Theatre – General Jackson in Nashville. Throughout their performance you will hear classic country Outlaw music and original songs written by Mark that are over-the-top, along with a few comedy parody songs such as Gretchen Wilson, Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes and be prepared to be fully entertained!
